Frankfort, KY – Americans for Prosperity-Kentucky (AFP-KY) celebrates yesterday’s ceremonial signing of House Bill 2. This bill will put a constitutional amendment to the voters of Kentucky, asking if they want to change the constitution to allow the legislature to fund non-public schools.
AFP-KY State Director Heather LeMire made the following statement:
“We are thrilled with the passage of House Bill 2 and look forward to voters making the right choice in November to give more educational opportunities to students, and parents more say in their children’s education.
“With the Kentucky House and Senate leadership making this issue a priority, we are one step closer to giving Kentuckians more educational options for their kids.
“Education choice matters. Parents, not the government, will always know what is best for their children. Today, we make our commitment to utilize the full weight of our grassroots efforts through November to see this amendment pass on the ballot.”
