Indianapolis, IN —Americans for Prosperity-Indiana (AFP-IN) congratulated U.S. Senator Mike Braun for winning the Republican nomination in tonight’s Indiana primary for Governor. AFP-IN knocked over 300,000 doors to support Braun in this primary election.

AFP-IN State Director Josh Webb released the following statement:

“We are thrilled that Mike Braun has been victorious in his gubernatorial primary run. Thanks to the hard work of our activists, we made over 300,000 door knocks in support of Braun for this primary race, and it is clear that he is the best candidate for the job. During his time as U.S. Senator, Mike Braun didn’t just vote for good policy, he introduced bills on controlling government spending and ushered them through the halls of Congress to find policy solutions that would move Indiana forward.

“As a small business owner, Mike Braun understands the hardships many are facing with skyrocketing inflation and has the solutions and experience to help set Indiana on a path of economic growth and opportunity for every Hoosier. We congratulate Braun on his primary victory for Governor and look forward to putting the full weight of our grassroots efforts behind him to win the general election in November.”

During his tenure in the U.S. Senate, Braun led the way on effective policy solutions and is a proven conservative fighter who took on Washington’s most entrenched special interests putting Hoosiers over D.C. politics. Braun earned the AFP endorsement by being a key leader on economic issues with a focus on reducing wasteful government spending. Braun has also consistently supported efforts for better access to healthcare and major educational policy reforms that empower families to customize education in the way that best fits their children.
