During opening week, baseball fans should ask our leaders to focus on economic priorities for all Wisconsinites.
MADISON, WI. – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin (AFP-WI) announced its new billboard overlooking Miller Parkway during opening week of baseball in Milwaukee.
Sam Rogers, AFP-WI Public Affairs Director, made the following statement:
“Governor Evers has prioritized giving taxpayer money to wealthy out-of-state team owners over tackling crucial economic reforms needed in Wisconsin. Instead of prioritizing lower taxes for all Wisconsinites, including the tens of thousands of main street businesses and independent contractors that are the backbone of Wisconsin’s economy, Governor Evers has proposed using $290 million of hard-earned taxpayer dollars for a bailout that benefits a select few at the expense of everyone else.
“Our historic surplus must be returned to the pockets of hardworking Wisconsinites. AFP-WI will continue to work with, educate, and mobilize grassroots activists across the entire state to ensure their voices are heard and their hard-earned tax dollars are protected throughout the budget process.”
