CHEYENNE, WY – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Wyoming (AFP-WY) welcomed James Halverson as its new deputy state director. He joins AFP-WY State Director Tyler Lindholm in leading Wyoming’s premier grassroots advocacy organization, where he will draw on his wealth of experience in fighting for regulatory reform.

“I’m deeply grateful to Americans for Prosperity for bringing me on to join in their critical mission to expand opportunity and prosperity across Wyoming,” said Halverson. “I’m eager to get to work advancing our principles and making life better and more affordable for everyone in our great state.”

Before joining AFP, Halverson served as director of external affairs and government relations for Rapid Broadcasting. Before that, Halverson was the executive director for the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association. He is a first-generation cattle producer and volunteers as a board member for the Black Hills Stock Show.

“I’ve known James for years and have always admired his work,” said Tyler Lindholm. “We are thrilled to add his skills to AFP where we know he will increase our firepower going into a critical budget session and election year.”

Halverson’s addition to the team marks the continued expansion of one of AFP’s newest state chapters. Since its founding in 2023, AFP-WY has driven dozens of transformative legislative victories and amassed thousands of active volunteers across the Cowboy State.
