CHEYENNE, WY – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Wyoming (AFP-WY) thanked U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) for her outstanding service to the state in the Senate following her retirement announcement on Friday.
Lummis was an AFP policy champion in the Senate, where she was a bulwark against fiscal irresponsibility, overregulation, and big government solutions to the problems facing hardworking Americans.
Sen. Lummis was one of the first members of Congress to receive AFP’s “Pioneer for Prosperity” award, introduced in 2022, for her principled leadership and political courage in opposing harmful legislation – even from her own side of the aisle.
Tyler Lindholm, AFP-WY state director and former state policy director for Sen. Lummis, gave the following statement:
“AFP-Wyoming is deeply grateful to have had such a champion for liberty in Cynthia Lummis, who fought tirelessly for Wyomingites during her four decades of public service.
“I am honored to have fought alongside her over the years to keep Wyoming as the freest state in the Union.
“We will work to ensure that Lummis’ legacy of innovative policy solutions and fearless defense of individual liberties continues in our state and in the halls of Congress.”
