Nashville, TN—Today, Americans for Prosperity-Tennessee (AFP-TN) officially launched its 2025 “Volunteer Way” legislative agenda ahead of the state legislative session beginning on January 14. This year’s agenda focuses on four key priorities aimed at reigniting the American Dream and protecting the Volunteer Way for future generations: universal school choice, regulatory reforms, banning state-wide property taxes, and increasing transparency in government.
AFP-TN’s legislative agenda focuses on the following areas:
Universal School Choice
The REINS Act / Regulation Reform
Banning State-Wide Property Taxes
Transparency in the House
AFP-TN State Director Tori Venable released the following statement:
“After talking to thousands of Tennesseans at their door and on the phone, gaining nearly 500,000 voter contacts in the last year, we’ve heard what people want to see from their government: universal school choice, stopping government over-reach, cutting or eliminating taxes, and requiring more government transparency.
“We believe these policies can drive real change that will improve the lives of everyday Tennesseans now and protect the volunteer way for generations to come. We look forward to continuing our work with lawmakers during this session to deliver meaningful change and expand freedom and prosperity in Tennessee.”
