AUSTIN, TX – Americans for Prosperity-Texas (AFP-TX) today celebrated the wins of five policy champions in their primary races for the state House: Angelia Orr (HD 13), Will Metcalf (HD 16), Terry Leo-Wilson (HD 23), Candy Noble (HD 89), and Morgan Meyer (HD 108).
The victories come after weeks of non-stop voter engagement efforts by AFP-TX’s grassroots activist army across the state, urging voters to support these candidates through door-to-door canvassing, phone outreach, direct mail, and targeted advertising.
“We’re thrilled to see these outstanding candidates clinch victory in their primary races after a highly competitive primary season. Our candidates will have the full AFP-TX to help them win again in November so they can get to work on the issues that matter most to Texas’ hardworking families.”
Background:
In 2024, AFP-TX engaged in a record number of state legislative races to help elect 21 outstanding candidates, including nine non-incumbents, representing a 15 percent change of the state legislature.
