Pierre, SD — Americans for Prosperity–South Dakota (AFP–SD) announced today that Jennifer Beving has been named its new State Director.
Beving, who joined AFP–SD in 2024 as Deputy State Director, brings deep South Dakota roots and a clear vision for the state’s future. Raised on a farm in eastern South Dakota and now living in the Black Hills, she understands firsthand the values that make this state strong—hard work, independence, and opportunity.
Beving is a licensed attorney who fights for education freedom, less government, and free markets that work for everyday South Dakotans. Beving’s leadership reflects AFP–SD’s commitment to grassroots conservatism, practical solutions, and policies that put South Dakota families first when making decisions that affect our future.
AFP-SD State Director Jennifer Beving released the following statement:
“As a lifelong South Dakotan, an attorney, and a mother of three teenagers, I’m honored and excited to step into this role. South Dakota is my home, and I believe deeply in the principles that have made our state strong—limited government, individual freedom, personal responsibility, and innovation. I’m proud to be part of AFP’s mission and to help grow grassroots conservatism and empower people across South Dakota. I know that real change doesn’t come from the top down—it comes from everyday people showing up, speaking out, and holding government accountable.
“I’m excited to work alongside citizens, lawmakers, and community leaders across the state. Together, we can ensure South Dakota continues to be a place where families can grow, businesses can succeed, and freedom is protected for the next generation.”
