Columbia, SC—Americans for Prosperity-South Carolina (AFP-SC) applauds the decision by the Trump administration, empowering states and communities to take charge of their own educational needs.
AFP-SC State Director, Matt Humm, said:
“By placing decision-making closer to families rather than Washington bureaucrats, we are fostering an environment of education freedom. This shift ensures that our parents, educators, and local communities are the ones steering education policy, creating a more personalized and responsive system that truly reflects the needs of South Carolina students.
“We have one hurdle left in the Senate to secure education freedom and must get S62 through the finish line at universal levels so that South Carolina doesn’t fall behind – we need to take our own education system back. Passing a universal Education Scholarship Trust Fund program and returning power to students and families is critical for the success of students across South Carolina.”
