CONCORD, N.H. – Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today expressed disappointment following the failure of House Bill 675, which would have limited the authority of school districts to make certain appropriations. The result leaves hardworking New Hampshire families to foot the bill for out-of-control school spending.
Sarah Scott, AFP-NH deputy state director, gave the following statement:
“For far too long, unchecked spending in school districts has fueled rising property taxes, forcing Granite Staters to pay more without seeing results. We are disappointed to see that HB 675 failed, further enabling out-of-control school budgets, placing the burden on hardworking families.”
