Derry, NH — As travel delays mount and national security risks grow, Senator Mark Kelly and Representative Chris Pappas are putting politics ahead of the safety and security of the American people. Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) is calling out this misplaced priority and urging lawmakers to fund the Department of Homeland Security.
AFP-NH Deputy State Director Sarah Scott said:
“While the Department of Homeland Security is dark and TSA agents are missing paychecks, Senator Kelly is busy playing politics and promoting Rep. Pappas instead of doing his job to keep Americans safe. That’s not leadership, it’s negligence. And Rep. Pappas isn’t off the hook, as he helped create this mess by siding with dysfunction and failing to support critical DHS funding.
“In New Hampshire, ‘Live Free or Die’ isn’t a slogan, it’s a standard. Granite Staters deserve leaders who put security first, stand up to Washington overreach, and actually fight for the freedoms that define New Hampshire—not undermine them.”
