JEFFERSON CITY, MO-After a successful 2025 legislative session, with victories such as repealing the Capital Gains Tax and expanding the MO Scholars program, Americans for Prosperity Missouri (AFP-MO) is rolling out an ambitious agenda to kick off the 2026 Legislative session.  AFP-MO is focusing its efforts on making sure Missouri’s income tax is reduced to zero to ease the burden on working families, continuing to expand educational freedom for parents and students, and slashing burdensome rules and regulations to get Missouri moving again through a state version of the REINS act.

Gary Hollis, AFP-MO State Director released the following statement:

“Our 2026 Legislative Agenda, though broad and sweeping, is laser focused on one thing: making sure Missouri continues to be the best place in the Midwest to live, work, start a business, and raise a family.  We look forward to working with Governor Kehoe and lawmakers in the General Assembly who believe in putting hard-earned money back in the pockets of Missourians, getting government out of the way of freedom, and showing the rest of the nation what the ‘Show Me State’ can do by removing barriers to opportunity.”
