Baton Rouge, LA—Americans for Prosperity-Louisiana (AFP-LA) applauds the decision by the Trump administration, empowering states and communities to take charge of their own educational needs.
AFP-LA State Director, Scott Simon, said:
“By placing decision-making closer to families rather than Washington bureaucrats, we are fostering an environment of education freedom. Last year, Louisiana took great strides for education freedom with the historic passage of the LA GATOR Program which received more than 12,000 applications during the first four days being open, during Mardi Gras, nonetheless. It’s clear that a shift to ensure that our parents, educators, and local communities are the ones steering education policy, creating a more personalized and responsive system that truly reflects the needs of Louisiana students is the way to success.”
