AFP-LA Responds to Gov. Landry’s State of the State Address

Baton Rouge, LA — Today, Americans for Prosperity-Louisiana (AFP-LA) responded to Governor Landry’s State of the State Address.

AFP-LA State Director Scott Simon said:

“Governor Landry’s address today highlighted an important opportunity for Louisiana to continue moving in a direction that prioritizes freedom, economic opportunity, and accountability in government. This session, the Louisiana Legislature has an opportunity to enact meaningful reforms to address rising costs, strengthen our economy, and expand educational freedom.

“AFP-LA is encouraged to hear the governor emphasize the importance of expanding education freedom across our state for students and families. For too long, families have been trapped in a one-size-fits-all system that doesn’t meet the needs of every child. Programs like the LA GATOR are empowering parents with the resources to choose the learning environment that works best for their children. We look forward to working with the governor and lawmakers this session to expand school choice, promote economic growth, and put Louisiana first.”
