INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Today, Americans for Prosperity–Indiana (AFP-IN) announced the launch of a targeted digital ad campaign urging voters in counties across Indiana to vote NO on school property tax referendums included on the November ballot. The ads are part of AFP-IN’s broader “Hoosiers Reject Higher Taxes” campaign to organize Hoosier taxpayers against the wave of new and renewed property tax levies hitting ballots this fall.
The campaign targets voters in key counties where school districts are seeking property tax increases. These are districts where Hoosier families, already pressured by rising grocery bills, high insurance costs, and elevated gas and utility prices, are being asked to endure yet another tax hike.
AFP-IN Deputy State Director Cody White issued the following statement:
“Indiana families are already stretched thin. The price of groceries, insurance, gas, and utilities are up. And now, school districts across Indiana are asking homeowners to approve even more property tax increases? This is unacceptable.
“Government spending accountability should come before tax increases, and we’re making sure voters have the facts they need before they go to the polls in November.”
AFP-IN is also hosting a series of free in-person Taxpayer Summits across targeted counties in September, equipping concerned residents with the local numbers, talking points, and organizing tools they need to make the case in their own communities.
