AFP-GA Calls on Georgia’s Senators To Put Aside Partisan Politics and End the Government Shutdown

Nov 5, 2025 by AFP

Atlanta, GA – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Georgia (AFP-GA) is calling out Senators Ossoff and Warnock for voting more than a dozen times against a clean funding bill and contributing to the longest government shutdown in history. Democrats are using the American people as “leverage” for their political games instead of doing what’s right for the American people.

AFP-GA State Director Tony West released the following statement:

“By continuing to vote to keep the government closed, Senators Ossoff and Warnock are putting the interests of Chuck Schumer and the Progressive Left above those of everyday, hardworking Georgians.

“Georgians want leaders who work for them, not rubber stamp votes for the partisan priorities of the day. Georgia’s senators should support a clean funding bill and reopen the government so they can best serve the people they were elected to represent.”
