DENVER, CO – Americans for Prosperity-Colorado (AFP-CO) launched new digital, mail and radio ads encouraging residents to contact the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and demand no more rate increases.
In the past five years, Xcel Energy has been granted five rate increases by the PUC. As gas and energy prices continue to skyrocket, Colorado’s inflation is expected to increase by 4.3% in 2023. Coloradans don’t need the PUC to hike rates any further.
The ads urge Coloradans to contact the PUC and demand no more rate increases.

Americans for Prosperity-Colorado State Director Jesse Mallory made the following statement:
“In just a few years, Colorado has become a haven for higher taxes, more expensive gas, and skyrocketing utility bills. While Coloradans are facing financial pressure and rising inflation, the PUC and Democrats continue to nickel and dime taxpayers at every turn.
“AFP is letting Coloradans know there is a better way to govern and that their voices matter. We encourage every Coloradan fed up with energy bills to contact the PUC and demand no more rate increases.”
