Concord, NH — Americans for Prosperity–New Hampshire (AFP–NH) today highlighted a new report showing New Hampshire once again ranks #1 in the nation for taxpayer return on investment, reinforcing the Granite State’s reputation for delivering strong outcomes at a lower cost to residents.
AFP-NH Deputy State Director Sarah Scott said:
“Granite Staters don’t just pay less in taxes, they get more for what they pay. This ranking proves the New Hampshire Advantage is working and reinforces what families and small businesses already know: responsible spending and limited government deliver real results, unlike our neighbors in Massachusetts, where higher taxes and growing government continue to drive up costs for families.
“When you don’t waste money on bureaucracy or government overreach, you don’t need to tax people nearly as much. New Hampshire’s system is built on a true citizen legislature that can’t be bought, an Executive Council that holds agencies accountable, and a citizenry that pushes back against efforts to raise taxes. What we have is working for those who want to keep more of their hard-earned money. And those are exactly the kind of people who choose to call the Granite State home.”
According to WalletHub’s analysis, New Hampshire taxpayers get more value from every dollar than anywhere else in the country, driven largely by the state’s low-tax, fiscally responsible approach.
