Grassroots group praises Governor Sununu for earning the highest grade on new state fiscal report

CONCORD, NH – Following the CATO Institute’s release of the 2020 Fiscal Policy Report Card on America’s Governors, Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire (AFP-NH) today commended Governor Sununu for earning the highest grade of any governor. The report analyzes the tax and spend policies that governors have made in recent years.

AFP-NH State Director Greg Moore issued the following statement:

“Governor Chris Sununu’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and the New Hampshire Advantage helped create one of the strongest economies in the country and provided opportunity to countless Granite Staters. Refusing to institute an income tax, Governor Sununu deserves credit for protecting taxpayers and ensuring our state has a pro-growth tax code that creates more jobs and prosperity for our state.

“It’s clear that when we get government out of the way with our low tax and spending policies, individuals and employers can flourish. We encourage Governor Sununu to continue the proven track record of responsible government spending that will keep New Hampshire as the beacon of economic growth and opportunity for the country.”
