Key Vote Alert: Vote YES on HR 4: Rescissions Act of 2025
On behalf of millions of Americans for Prosperity activists in all 50 states, I urge you to support HR 4, the Rescissions Act of 2025, a critical step towards delivering meaningful relief to taxpayers and right-sizing the federal government as championed by President Donald Trump.
This first wave of commonsense cost-cutting measures from the White House will result in a nearly $100 billion baseline reduction over ten years. The federal government spent $6.75 trillion in fiscal year 2024, and much of this spending goes to unauthorized, duplicative, and wasteful programs at federal agencies. This rescissions package serves as an opportunity for Congress to reduce our deficit and end those unnecessary programs for good.
The Trump Administration has made impressive progress towards identifying government inefficiency and waste. But lasting reform requires action from Congress, or a future Administration can undo this progress. Hopefully, this will be the first of many serious steps to rein in waste, fraud, and abuse and change the culture in Washington to one of fiscal responsibility and taxpayer stewardship.
It is for these reasons that we urge you to support the Rescissions Act of 2025.
