Kansas Senate Passes Historic Legislation Giving APRNs Full Practice Authority

Mar 10, 2022 by AFP

Topeka, Kan. — Yesterday, the Kansas Senate passes H.B. 2279 with a support of ## votes. This legislation will give Advanced Practice Registered Nurses full practicing authority throughout the state of Kansas.

Statement from Americans for Prosperity-Kansas State Director, Elizabeth Patton:

“Today, the Kansas Senate passed historic legislation as they continue to lead the way on increased access to health care at lower costs. This pandemic has shown us time and again that a personal option with patient-centered care should include allowing highly trained and qualified nurse practitioners to work in Kansas without a needless permission slip. We applaud the Senate on this bipartisan move forward on a key policy to help our state improve health outcomes. “
