Grassroots group thanks Governor Ricketts for protecting taxpayers, calls on senators to pass comprehensive tax reform

LINCOLN, NE – Following Governor Pete Ricketts’ State of the State where he laid out his policy priorities for 2020, Americans for Prosperity-Nebraska (AFP-NE) State Director Jessica Shelburn issued the following statement:

“Fiscal responsibility is the key to improving our state and helping more Nebraskans rise. We’re glad to see Governor Ricketts continue his focus on keeping government spending in check and working to usher in a new era of growth through tax reform. For too long, lawmakers have refused to take the bold action that’s needed to get tax reform over the finish line. It’s time senators stop kicking the can down the road and pass tax reform that Nebraskans need and deserve.”
