Jan 30, 2025 by AFP

Jackson, MS—Americans for Prosperity-Mississippi (AFP-MS) State Director Starla Brown issued the following statement applauding the Mississippi House for a bipartisan passage of HB 922, which would repeal parts of Mississippi’s onerous Certificate of Need (CON) laws:

“As we move in the direction of fully repealing CON laws and breaking barriers to Mississippi’s health care market, AFP-MS is thankful that State Representatives Sam Creekmore and Hank Zuber are helping lead the way. Removing certain CON requirements will make our health care more competitive, accessible, and affordable. We hope the Senate will quickly follow in passing HB 922.”
