Atlanta, GA – Today, Americans for Prosperity–Georgia (AFP-GA) is calling on Georgia’s Democrat members of Congress to support a clean continuing resolution, reopen the federal government, and put an end to Washington’s partisan games. Recent polling from AFP shows that 61% of Americans agree that shutdowns are bad for Congress’s ability to help the country succeed.
AFP-GA State Director Tony West released the following statement:
“It is time for Senators Ossoff and Warnock to start working for Georgians and vote for a clean continuing resolution. Georgia families should not suffer the consequences of Democrats’ partisan games. Every day this shutdown is drawn out is because Democrats refuse to support a clean funding bill. Senator Ossoff and Senator Warnock need to do the right thing and vote to re-open the government. This is a completely senseless situation—the type of Washington politics Georgians are tired of.”
AFP-GA will continue to hold elected leaders accountable until Washington delivers the commonsense solutions that hardworking Georgians deserve.
