ARLINGTON, VA— Americans for Prosperity is announcing the next phase of the Working Families Tax Cuts campaign with a $5.5 million ad and grassroots campaign. The continuation of the campaign will bolster the legislation, which delivered real tax relief to families, boosted wages, and helped ignite economic growth across the country. The next phase comes as millions of Americans prepare to file their taxes in the coming weeks.
“The Working Families Tax Cut helped put the country back on a path toward long-term growth and opportunity,” said AFP Managing Director Kent Strang. “With Tax Day around the corner, this is a natural moment to remind Americans what that really means — more money in their pockets and real relief for families trying to get ahead. We’re focused on making sure people understand the impact this law is already having in their day-to-day lives.”
Through a combined $5.5 million investment in targeted voter outreach, ad campaigns, and grassroots activation, AFP will connect directly with Americans via town halls, small business roundtables, door-to-door engagement, and community events. Planning for over 300 events across the country, these efforts will ensure voters know where their representatives stand—and how pro-growth tax reform improves their daily lives.
“This next phase of the campaign is about elevating the voices of everyday Americans and clearly connecting those results to the leaders who made them possible — while also holding accountable those who stood in the way,” Strang added. “At the same time, families are feeling renewed pressure from rising energy costs tied to instability in the Middle East. Congress should do everything it can to bring costs down. The Working Families Tax Cut was an important step forward, but it was just that — a first step after years of policies that made it harder for people to get ahead and achieve their American Dream.”
As part of the campaign, AFP will be relaunching two of its most effective ads:
Additionally, just last week AFP State Directors and grassroots representatives from all over the country came to Washington, DC for its annual Capitol Conference to advocate for a policy agenda to continue to lower costs. The two campaigns will complement each other – ensuring voters understand who to thank for the relief they see during tax filing season, while also advocating for the next steps to continue to lower costs over the long-term.
Through broad-based grassroots outreach, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is driving long-term solutions to the country’s biggest problems. AFP activists engage friends and neighbors on key issues and encourage them to take an active role in building a culture of mutual benefit, where people succeed by helping one another. AFP recruits and unites activists in all 50 states behind a common goal of advancing policies that will help people improve their lives. For more information, visit www.AmericansForProsperity.org
