Every American deserves the opportunity to pursue fulfilling work and support their families.

But too often, outdated and unfair licensing laws stand as a barrier to many reaching their full potential.

William Burt knows what these barriers are like.

After realizing his passion for being a barber while in prison, William tried to take his talents on the road with a mobile barbershop designed to provide haircuts to under-served communities.

There was just one problem: Iowa occupational licensing laws stood in his way.

A new documentary, The Right Cut: A Barber Builds a Movement, tells William’s story of redemption and his fight to eliminate unfair licensing laws.

The Right Cut debuts this week, along with a special Q&A session with William.

All you need to do to watch is visit Americans for Prosperity-Iowa’s Facebook page at 7 p.m. CST/8 p.m. EST on Tuesday,  April 7, 2020. RSVP here!
