AFP-LA will launch digital ads, online resources, and deploy grassroots activists in support of ESAs as part of its Geaux School Choice campaign
Baton Rouge, LA—As Louisiana’s first regular legislative session under Governor Jeff Landry commences, Americans for Prosperity–Louisiana (AFP-LA) is laying out a bold agenda with universal Education Savings Accounts (ESA) at the top of its list of priorities.
AFP-LA will utilize its Geaux School Choice campaign to create awareness for ESAs through digital ads, online resources, and activating its strong grassroots base to take a message of education freedom to voters door-to-door.
AFP-LA State Director, Scott Simon, released the following statement:
“With leadership from the Governor’s office to the Legislature, Louisiana is positioned to advance meaningful reforms to our education system this year. It’s Louisiana’s turn to start serving our learners, not systems, and make ESAs readily accessible to families.
“Improving education choices for students and their unique learning needs while empowering parents to make the decisions that work best for them should be an immediate priority of the legislature this year.”
AFP-LA says that it is also working alongside legislators to bring needed reform to tax and spending by eliminating corporate and personal income tax over the coming years and creating a fairer, streamlined tax plan for Louisiana businesses to keep the state competitive.
