AFP-PA Endorses Candidates in Tight Races before Pennsylvania Primary

Apr 3, 2024 by AFP

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania—Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) today announced its first wave of endorsements in competitive primary seats.

Minority Leader Bryan Cutler (LD-100), Representative Robert Leadbeter (LD-109), and Representative Mike Cabell (LD-117) earned AFP-PA’s endorsements for their commitment to protecting Pennsylvania taxpayers, growing the Keystone economy, and giving Pennsylvanians access to personalized health care.

This first wave of legislative endorsements comes with less than a month until the Pennsylvania Primary on Tuesday, April 23.

AFP-PA Deputy State Director Emily Greene gave the following statement after announcing the grassroots group’s first wave of endorsed legislative candidates:

“Pennsylvanians need these voices representing them in Harrisburg. They have offered and supported key pieces of legislation that would put Pennsylvania back on the pathway to prosperity. From cutting red tape, to cutting taxes, Minority Leader Cutler as well as Reps. Leadbeter and Cabell are advancing the policies that will improve life in the Commonwealth.”

Minority Leader Bryan Cutler (LD-100)

Bryan Cutler is a champion for Pennsylvania taxpayers and a strong voice in favor of ensuring Pennsylvanians have access to a personal option in healthcare. From advancing legislation that would put guardrails on government spending, to revisiting needless regulations that make energy more expensive, Cutler has shown through his voting record that he’s working to make Pennsylvanian a better place to work and live.

Representative Robert Leadbeter (LD-109)

Robert Leadbeter reliably votes to improve Pennsylvania’s economy by advocating for lower taxes, right-sizing regulations, reforming occupational licensing, protecting worker freedom and pushing back against the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. His voting history shows that he will continue to champion educational opportunities and giving parents and students access to the education that meets their needs.

Representative Mike Cabell (LD-117)

Mike Cabell is looking out for Pennsylvania patients by championing health care reforms that would grant full practice authority to nurse practitioners—and expanding access to quality, affordable healthcare in the Keystone State. He’s been a vocal opponent of Governor Shapiro’s wasteful spending plans and will continue to be a vocal opponent of the Administration’s crippling energy policies such as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
