Patrick Fleenor is a tax policy fellow at Americans for Prosperity. Today bloated, complex and inefficient tax systems stand in the way of Americans achieving their dreams. Patrick works to remove these impediments by developing and advocating for simpler, less intrusive systems that give people more control over their lives.
Patrick has over three decades of experience analyzing tax policy. Before joining AFP, he ran a consulting firm which advised top decision-makers on federal, state and local tax, budget and regulatory matters. Prior to that he served as chief economist of the Tax Foundation and as a senior economist with the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee.
Patrick holds a master’s degree in economics from George Mason University. He also has a master’s degree in political science with a concentration in public policy analysis from American University. He did his undergraduate work at Albion College where he double majored in economics and political science.
