Group Releases Principles of Tax Reform Roadmap

CHARLESTON, W.Va.—Today Americans for Prosperity-West Virginia (AFP-WV) lauded policymakers for making comprehensive tax reform a major priority and provided them a Principles of Tax Reform Roadmap to help drive this important reform forward.

The organization is also utilizing its signature grassroots capabilities in an effort to connect grassroots activists with policy makers to voice support for cutting taxes and reducing government spending in the Mountain State.

AFP-WV State Director Jason Huffman released the following statement:

“When it comes to the ongoing tax reform debate, here’s what we know for certain. For West Virginia to reach its full potential, we have to put more money back into the pockets of every Mountaineer by adopting comprehensive tax reform. Citizens make the best decisions for their lives and their households, not government. That’s why policymakers are right to eliminate the personal income tax. It is truly heartening to see Governor Justice, along with principled lawmakers, make cutting taxes a shared priority. There are myriad means through which we can all work together to make this longstanding policy goal that will benefit all West Virginians come to fruition. We’re pleased to offer a roadmap to help us get there. We look forward to working with Governor Justice and legislative leaders to get this done for West Virginians.”
