AFP-VA Statement on Speaker Bill Howell

RICHMOND, VA – Americans for Prosperity – Virginia (AFP-VA) State Director JC Hernandez issued the following statement upon news that current House Speaker Bill Howell underwent heart surgery Tuesday night:

“Speaker Howell has been a dedicated and tremendous public servant to the Commonwealth and everyone at AFP-VA wishes him a full and speedy recovery. Speaker Howell has proven over the last 30 years to be a principled and outstanding legislator, and I have greatly enjoyed working with him to help improve the lives of all Virginians. We are encouraged to hear the procedure went well and send our thoughts and prayers to Speaker Howell and his family.”
