Keystone State Activist Group Goes All-In to Defeat PA Governor in November Election
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Americans for Prosperity-Pennsylvania (AFP-PA) today announced it will oppose Governor Tom Wolf’s re-election and encourage Pennsylvania voters to elect former state senator Scott Wagner as governor. The free-market activist group will be canvassing, making phone calls, and running advertisements as part of its effort to highlight Gov. Wolf’s failed policy record and urge Pennsylvanians to vote against him this November.
AFP-PA State Director Beth Anne Mumford issued the following statement:
“Our permanent grassroots infrastructure exists to break down barriers to opportunity and restrain the size of government so that Pennsylvania’s individuals, communities, and businesses have the maximal chance to thrive. Gov. Wolf’s record runs antithetical to that vision. Wolf’s lack of leadership has instead left the Commonwealth with a legacy of bigger government, higher taxes, and runaway spending that consistently stifles economic dynamism and prioritizes Harrisburg’s interests over those of everyday Pennsylvanians. By contrast, Scott Wagner puts Pennsylvanians first and his record reflects strong leadership on causes our activists champion and proves he’ll promote bold reforms as governor. AFP will be pounding the pavement for the next 13 weeks to remind voters of Wolf’s tired record and urge Pennsylvania voters to fire him.”
