AFP-MT: HB 971 Will Protect the Most Vulnerable, Create Energy Affordability & Stability

Americans for Prosperity-Montana (AFP-MT) State Director David Herbst released a statement in support of the Revise Environmental Policy Act (HB 971) facing the State Legislature:

“Montanans don’t want legislation from the judicial bench– the Revise Environmental Policy Act ensures the energy sector is able to create an affordable, reliable and abundant energy future in Big Sky Country. A prosperous energy future is critical for Montana families, and we can do it while also protecting and preserving our environment and the natural beauty of our state.

“This is an issue for the legislative body, not for judges in Billings to decide. Montana doesn’t want California-style policies and Judge Moses’ decision will stall an important project that would employ thousands of Montanans and drive down energy costs in our growing community.

“Let’s unleash Montana’s energy sector and create a regulatory environment that works for Montanans. We look forward to working alongside members to ensure the swift passage of HB 917.”

AFP-Montana released a promotion program to promote the bill and connect this policy to the voters of Montana.
