AFP-Colorado: Sen. Donovan Wanted to Stifle Innovation

Aug 27, 2018 by AFP

DENVER, Colo. – Americans for Prosperity-Colorado (AFP-CO) launched a campaign criticizing Sen. Kerry Donovan for her support for HB18-1312, a bill that would limit innovation and access to broadband internet by instituting provisions coercing internet service providers to adapt net neutrality. The effort will leverage AFP’s extensive grassroots army as well as mail and digital ads asking Coloradans to encourage Sen. Donovan to support a free and open internet.

“Imposing net neutrality in Colorado would stifle innovation and decrease access to reliable broadband internet at a time Colorado can least afford it,” said AFP-CO State Director Jesse Mallory. “We’re going to mobilize our activists and make sure Sen. Donovan’s constituents understand how her opposition to a free and open internet is bad for Colorado and a ‘blue screen of death’ for innovation and access.”
