Feb 27, 2019 by AFP

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—Americans for Prosperity-Oklahoma (AFP-OK) today applauded the Senate Rules Committee and Senate Appropriations Committee for passing transparency and accountability bills out of committee. The Senate Rules Committee passed five targeted accountability bills involving appointments of commissions and agencies and the Senate Appropriations Committee passed a bill to create the Legislative Office of Fiscal Transparency.

AFP-OK State Director John Tidwell issued the following statement:

“We applaud the Senate Rules Committee and Senate Appropriations Committee for passing legislation that would allow the people a bigger voice in their government. Oklahomans deserve a say in the making of regulations that affect their everyday activities and transparency in how their tax-dollars are spent. Now, Oklahoma is one step closer to becoming a customer-focused state government.”
