HB 1006 Will Remove Hurdle to Job Creation and Encourage Competition
INDIANAPOLIS The Hoosier chapter of the nations premiere free market grassroots organization today endorsed HB 1006, which ends government regulated occupational licensing for a number of professions including cosmetologists and barbers.
In the case of HB 1006, occupational licensing is more about hampering competition than about protecting consumers, says Chase Downham, Director of AFP-IN. Hoosiers dont need a bureaucrat to tell them which barbers are best for cutting hair or which cosmetologists can perform a professional manicure.
