Kansas Tea Parties

We're starting to get word of numerous tea party rallies taking place across Kansas next month. If you have information about other events going on in your area, please pass them along to infoks@afphq.org.

Hutchinson -- 4pm to 9pm on Thursday, April 14 at the Hutchinson Sports Arena

Wamego -- 11:02am on Friday, April 15 at Wamego City Park. Bean soup and cornbread will be served.

Topeka -- Saturday, April 16 in the parking lot of Fairlawn Plaza Mall (21st and Fairlawn).

Tea Party Rallies
There are a number of tea party rallies going on around the state this month. AFP-Kansas is helping to sponsor the Capital City Tea Party Rally this Saturday, April 16 in the parking lot of Fairlawn Plaza Mall. Join us at noon on Saturday for a Patriot Fest, featuring a special salute for veterans and for police and firefighters.

Policy Luncheon
Americans for Prosperity-Kansas and Kansas Policy Institute invite you to a policy luncheon featuring Dr. Barry Poulson at 11:30am Wednesday, April 27 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka. Dr. Poulson will discuss “A Comprehensive Reform of the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System” and will outline several reforms already being implemented in other states with a similar pension situation.

Legislative Update
The last day of the regular session is Saturday, April 2. Next week, the legislature will consider conference committee reports where House and Senate conferees negotiate agreements on pieces of legislation.
