Romano: Too many 9-1-1 calls?

February 15, 2013 J

AFP-CT: GOVERNOR MALLOY IS UNCLEAR ABOUT THE STATE OF OUR STATE

February 08, 2012 J

Hartford CT- Today Americans for Prosperity-Connecticut (AFP-CT) responded to Governor Malloy’s State of the State Address.

“After listening to the Governor’s State of the State address today, I am concerned that the Governor does not understand the current state in which we find ourselves,” said JR Romano, State Director AFP-CT. “His delivery of a speech full of empty accomplishments and lofty goals for the future demonstrates that he either doesn’t understand the state we are currently in or doesn’t know how to turn things around or both.”

Governor Malloy’s State of the State address today marks the opening day of the legislative session.

Encourages citizens to contact Gov. Malloy to demand fiscal responsibility and lower taxes

Hartford CT- Twenty years ago, Connecticut passed a state income tax, sold to citizens as a short-term solution to the state’s budget crisis. Twenty years later, the citizens of Connecticut and the state of the economy are still suffering. Happy Taxiversary Connecticut!

“Connecticut continues to have one of the highest tax rates in the country and lawmakers simply added to that gross burden on taxpayers by passing a budget last year including $1.5 billion in increased taxes on income and businesses and an increase in the sales tax,” said JR Romano, AFP-Connecticut State Director. “This website serves as a reminder of our failing economy and encourages citizens not only to contact Gov. Malloy, but to remain active and engaged in the legislative process.”
