Hartford CT- Americans for Prosperity-Connecticut (AFP-CT) State Director, JR Romano, will testify today on two executive orders issued by Governor Malloy last fall impacting child care workers and home care attendants in state funded programs.
"It is unfortunate that Governor Malloy has chosen to put politics before people once again by forcing unionization upon small business owners in this state who are charged with the care of our children and elderly populations, said JR Romano, State Director AFP-CT. While I am sure that the SEIU is pleased with these orders providing them with additional members and their dues, what about the PCAs and child care workers and the people they care for?
A lawsuit alleging that Governor Malloy overstepped his executive branch authorities in issuing Executive Orders 9 and 10 is pending.

Hartford CT- Today Americans for Prosperity-Connecticut (AFP-CT) responded to Governor Malloys State of the State Address.
After listening to the Governors State of the State address today, I am concerned that the Governor does not understand the current state in which we find ourselves, said JR Romano, State Director AFP-CT. His delivery of a speech full of empty accomplishments and lofty goals for the future demonstrates that he either doesnt understand the state we are currently in or doesnt know how to turn things around or both.
Governor Malloys State of the State address today marks the opening day of the legislative session.
