VIDEO: AFP-MN w/Rep. Tom Emmer on Protecting Trump Tax Cuts
ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Americans for Prosperity-Minnesota (AFP-MN) released a video on Thursday featuring Representative Tom Emmer, the Republican Majority Whip, discussing his shared commitment with the organization to renew the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) before it expires this year.
Emmer thanked AFP-MN and its state director Jake Coleman “for his partnership and work to highlight the success of President Trump’s tax cuts and economic agenda.”
“Rest assured, we are working every day with President Trump and our Republican colleagues in Congress to make these tax cuts permanent so Minnesota families and businesses can continue to thrive,” Emmer said.

The video coincides with the launch of a new seven-figure ad and grassroots campaign highlighting what will be a Tax Day nightmare next year for working families across Minnesota if Congress fails to renew the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). If it’s not renewed, the average Minnesota family’s tax bill will increase by $2,245.
This critical legislation has provided essential tax relief to families and small businesses nationwide and is overwhelmingly supported by hardworking Americans.
This campaign is a continuation of AFP’s $20 million commitment made in January – the largest investment of any outside limited-government conservative organization in support of a key pillar of President Trump’s agenda. In 2023 and 2024, AFP and AFP Action reached out to nearly 30 million voters.
