Washington, DC—As first reported by Fox News, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) held a National Day of Action last Saturday. Over 160 AFP staff and even more grassroots volunteers spoke to over 90,000 voters nationwide about the importance of renewing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) which provides the average family at least $1,500 in savings annually.

Members of Congress knocked on doors alongside activists educating constituents about the status of the Republican tax bill, and how they can get involved to prevent the largest tax increase in history from impacting hardworking Americans. AFP targeted key congressional districts, mobilizing activists as Congress prepares for a pivotal week in the budget reconciliation process.

Fox News joined Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07) and AFP-PA at the doors in Bethlehem. Watch the video here.

In Arizona, Representatives David Schweikert (AZ-01) and Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) reached voters alongside AFP activists driving the importance of a reconciliation package that renews the TCJA.

In Iowa, Representative Ashley Hinson (IA-02) walked with AFP-IA activists in the second district, sharing the potential cost of tax increases if the TCJA expires.

In Michigan, Congressman Tom Barrett (MI-07) walked with AFP-MI to reach voters who weren’t aware of the tax hike they could face should the TCJA expire this year.

This National Day of Action is part of AFP’s $20 million Protect Prosperity campaign—the single largest investment of any outside group dedicated to preserving the TCJA.
