CHEYENNE, WY – Americans for Prosperity-Wyoming leadership traveled to Capitol Hill this week as part of AFP’s ongoing Protect Prosperity campaign to advocate for President Trump’s tax cuts.
State Director Tyler Lindholm traveled to Washington and conducted three meetings to urge Wyoming lawmakers to extend provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), which saves the average Wyoming family $1,861 in federal taxes per year and preserves 1,900 jobs throughout the state. Lindholm also discussed passing the rescissions package from the White House to eliminate billions in wasteful spending.
AFP-WY State Director Tyler Lindholm released the following statement:
“Each year we travel to Washington, DC, to discuss the most pressing issues facing our communities. This week, I met with lawmakers and urged them to pass President Trump’s reconciliation package and make the TCJA tax cuts permanent to save Wyomingites more of their hard-earned money on their federal taxes.
“We must ensure Americans aren’t hit with the largest tax increase in history – we look forward to working alongside policymakers to see TCJA renewed.”
