TOLEDO, OH — Last week, Americans for Prosperity–Ohio (AFP-OH) held a grassroots event outside Rep. Marcy Kaptur’s district office to hold her accountable for voting against the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), a bill that would deliver real relief to Ohioans through lower energy costs, stronger border security, and expanded access to health care.
Kaptur’s no vote puts her at odds with Ohio families who are struggling with rising costs and government overreach. Meanwhile, AFP-OH is standing with the people, supporting the OBBB’s common-sense, pro-growth reforms.
AFP-OH State Director Donovan O’Neil released the following statement:
“Marcy Kaptur had a clear choice—stand with Washington special interests or stand with working Ohioans. She chose wrong. The One Big Beautiful Bill is a lifeline for families facing higher prices at the pump, at the grocery store, and on their utility bills. Ohioans deserve leaders who fight for them, not against them.”
This event is part of AFP’s national campaign to spotlight lawmakers who opposed the OBBB and rally support for solutions that expand freedom and opportunity.
