Mill Springs, NC – Last night, Americans for Prosperity-North Carolina (AFP-NC) hosted North Carolina federal and state lawmakers, including Sen. Ted Budd, Rep. Chuck Edwards, Rep. Tim Moore, State Auditor Dave Boliek, State Sen. Warren Daniel, State Rep. Karl Gillespie, and Chairman Whatley for a roundtable on where Hurricane Helene recovery stands and how regulatory red tape has hindered progress.
The event came the same day as new Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin visited the Asheville area.
Dalton Clark, AFP-NC managing director of external affairs, released the following statement:
“AFP-NC was proud to host a great event last night with so many North Carolina leaders, and we are grateful for their participation. The common message we heard was that a lot of progress has been made on western North Carolina recovery efforts, but there’s still a lot of work to do. We will continue to do our part by working with policymakers to remove red tape in an effort to speed up recovery.”
