TOPEKA, KS – In case you missed it, Americans for Prosperity-Kansas (AFP-KS) called on state lawmakers to expand school choice options in Kansas at a school choice rally in the state capitol on Tuesday during National School Choice Week.
The event brought hundreds of activists, educators, and parents to the state capitol to meet with lawmakers and share how school choice could help their children achieve their full potential.
“Every parent in this state wants the same thing: a real chance for their child to succeed,” AFP-KS Deputy State Director Tanner Tempel told the crowd gathered in the capitol rotunda. “School choice starts with a hard truth we don’t say out loud enough: a system that works for some kids can still fail others.”
“School choice flips that script,” Tempel added. “It puts parents back in the driver’s seat and lets education dollars follow students not systems.”
