ICYMI: AFP-GA, Rep. Rich McCormick Rally Support for Bipartisan Energy Permitting Reform

DAWSONVILLE, GA – On Tuesday, Americans for Prosperity–Georgia (AFP-GA) hosted an event with Rep. Rich McCormick (GA-07) in Dawsonville to urge Georgia’s U.S. senators to support the PERMIT and SPEED Acts, two pieces of legislation aimed at unleashing American energy production, streamlining the permitting review process and lowering costs for hardworking Georgians.

The event, held at Atlanta Motorsport Park, brought together grassroots activists, community leaders, and energy advocates to highlight how burdensome permitting delays and excessive federal red tape continue to drive up energy prices and hinder economic growth across the state.

AFP-GA State Director Tony West released the following statement:

“Supporting the PERMIT and SPEED Acts is an opportunity to put politics aside and stand with working families who are demanding affordable, reliable energy and a stronger economy. Rep. Rich McCormick understands this.

“AFP-GA urges Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to join Rep. McCormick and a bipartisan coalition of House members who support the PERMIT and SPEED Acts to unleash American energy, streamline the permitting review process, and lower costs for Georgia families.”
