Americans for Prosperity Welcomes Secretary Wright to Pine Tree State, Says Maine Needs an All-of-the-Above Energy Strategy

Lincoln, Maine — Americans for Prosperity (AFP) welcomes U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright to Maine at a time when Pine Tree State families are paying the price for years of Augusta Democrats’ bad energy policies.

AFP Northeast Region Director Ross Connolly said:

“Secretary Wright’s visit today is great news for the Pine Tree State as we work to unleash American energy dominance. Maine imports more of its energy than almost any other state when it could be using what it already has to lower costs for families and businesses.

“Bad policies from Augusta have increased utility bills and the cost of everyday goods. Reversing that starts with an all-of-the-above energy agenda that lets every energy source compete instead of picking winners. We hope Secretary Wright’s visit reminds Augusta of what AFP has said all along: good energy policy lowers costs for families and businesses and makes Maine competitive.”

ICYMI, Ross joined the Ray Richardson Show to discuss Maine’s legislative failures. Listen here.
