RICHMOND, VA – Americans for Prosperity-Virginia (AFP-VA) today announced its endorsement of Delegates Tony Wilt (HD-34), Amanda Batten (HD-71), and Kim Taylor (HD-82) for re-election to the Virginia House of Delegates. Each of these leaders has worked alongside AFP-VA to advance policies that expand opportunity, grow Virginia’s economy, and improve the lives of Virginians.
AFP-VA State Director Tim Parrish released the following statement:
“Delegates Wilt, Batten, and Taylor have proven themselves to be effective, principled leaders who deliver results for their constituents and for Virginia. Their records on expanding educational opportunity, protecting taxpayers, and promoting pro-growth policies make them exactly the kind of legislators we need in Richmond. AFP-VA is proud to stand with them in their re-election campaigns.”
Delegate Tony Wilt has been a strong partner on education issues, supporting legislation to expand educational opportunities through Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) and speaking out about the harm of limiting choices. A fiscal conservative, Wilt has supported lower taxes, a balanced budget, and responsible spending, while leading on energy policy to promote innovation and growth.
Delegate Amanda Batten has been instrumental in advancing AFP-VA’s priorities on labor and education. She has championed reforms to reduce the burden of occupational licensing, prevented the misclassification of independent contractors, and served as chief co-patron on a key ESA bill, playing a crucial role in securing votes.
Delegate Kim Taylor has a record fighting for workers’ rights, public safety, and defending the education improvement scholarship tax credit program. She has advanced labor reforms to oppose unnecessary collective bargaining mandates and worked to lower Virginians’ energy bills.
AFP-VA will engage its premier grassroots network to connect with voters across these districts and encourage them to support Wilt, Batten, and Taylor in the upcoming election.
