Little Rock, AR—Americans for Prosperity-Arkansas (AFP-AR) is celebrating the Public School Access and Transparency Act, SB 572, being signed into law following overwhelming support in the legislature. Under this new law, the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act will ensure access to the learning materials used in public schools.

AFP-AR is calling this law a major victory for parents, students, and transparency advocates as it requires public schools to provide access to learning materials, ensuring transparency and accountability in education for parents.

AFP-AR State Director, Ryan Norris, issued the following statement:

“On behalf of Americans for Prosperity – Arkansas, I want to thank Senator Jim Dotson and Representative McAlindon for their leadership on SB 572. AFP-AR proudly supports this important legislation because we believe every parent has the right to know what is being taught and presented to their child in the classroom. Transparency builds trust, and empowering parents is essential to ensuring Arkansas students receive an education aligned with their values and needs. We are thankful Governor Sanders agrees and is signing this important piece of legislation into law.”
