AFP Urges Swift Passage of Tax Package in Senate, Issues Key Vote Alert
Washington, DC—Today Americans for Prosperity (AFP), the nation’s premier grassroots organization, issued a Key Vote Alert urging swift passage of the tax package in the U.S. Senate.
The tax package makes permanent the original Trump tax cuts from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, phases out Biden-era corporate cronyism, and provides much-needed certainty for families, job creators, and investors.
AFP Chief Government Affairs Officer Brent Gardner applauded the package in the following statement:
“Thanks to Senate leadership and committee chairs, the Senate’s tax package contains provisions that will benefit every American. AFP is thrilled to see that the Senate made the original Trump tax cuts permanent and further cut spending by strengthening the social safety net and phasing out regressive Biden-era subsidies.
“AFP has issued a Key Vote Alert for this bill, encouraging all Senators to vote for the pro-growth tax reforms that Americans need to build their businesses, plan for their futures, and pursue their American Dreams. We need to get this bill through the Senate and back to the House for concurrence so we can lock in these wins for Americans as soon as possible.”
